Reema practices primarily in the areas of immigration and family law as well as litigation, including municipal court, landlord-tenant and collection matters.
Prior to joining ShahDesai, PC, Reema worked at the international law firm of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, where she represented several multinational corporations. She practiced litigation in the areas of products liability, general liability, construction, and immigration law.
Reema obtained her juris doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark. Upon graduating law school, Reema worked for the Presiding Judge of the Middlesex County Superior Court, Civil Division. As a judicial law clerk, she learned the inner workings of the New Jersey court system and civil trial practice.
During her law school career, Reema concentrated in immigration and human rights law. She interned at the Executive Office of Immigration Review, where she worked within the government to gain an in-depth knowledge of the United States’ immigration system. While in law school, Reema served as the Managing Editor of the Rutgers Computer & Technology Law Journal.
Reema is a member of the American Bar, New Jersey Bar and American Immigration Lawyers Associations. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. Reema received her undergraduate degree in physical therapy from Boston University. She is fluent in Gujarati and has a working knowledge of Hindi.
